Welcome 2010!!

Did I mention that Umar has to diet coz he's already 15kg??? Yes, doc adviced that we control his food. I know for a fact that bibik dok feed dia susu non stop. Sebotol penuh boleh habis, and he can ask for another right after and the bibik will make him one. And second botol pun boleh habis. Mana tak bam2? And he doesnt only rely on susu ya, makan nasi tetap makan nasi woooh...He's now heavier than Ulfa, boleh? Aduuuuhhh...
School holiday is almost over. Isnin ni Umaira is going back to Krista. Ulfa belum dihantar ke sekolah, she will only start kindy when Umaira masuk darjah satu. As for Umar, until he is potty trained, then we can talk about school. As for now, kena control makan and terima gomolan mummy daddy dia sampai dia dah besar. Hehehehe...
That's Mummy's new year's resolution for the kids...

year end

tiru ayat orang lain...clear dust in the blog!
updates...It is the school holiday. Umaira is done with her K1 session, will move on with K2 next month/year. And it is her graduating year before she enters primary school. Cepatnya anak mummy membesar. What she's doing at home? Takes care of the little ones. She amuses them with her "classes", have been teaching to draw and colour. And like last night, she was excited to show me how she cleaned up the "work area" after they play. Good girl!

Tok Lang passed away, on 11th December 2009. He is my paklang, and all of us went back to Guar Chempedak to pay respects. We were supposed to go to PD for tok mama's family gathering tapi tak jadi la kan. The good thing out of it, the kids get to see Keisha and Aleyya again and get to bond with Deena. Seronok tengok kenit2 tu main. They treated Umaira macam baby...and Ulfa siap kena dukung. Bebel kenit kecik tu sebab tak puas hati kena dukung. "Ulfa dah besarlah mummy." Given that Keisha and Aleyya are the only child in their family, paham sangatlah kan keinginan nak ada adik tu kan.

And...How do you explain to your child, kenapa her uncle is holding hands with another woman? Yes... Sungguh keliru!

Disney comes to Krista

I can't wait to get home today, to listen to Umaira's stories on her day in school. Sebab hari ni, the Walt Disney Malaysia team datang her school untuk promote the Princess and The Frog film. She was excited all week long, and she mentioned about joining their colouring contest. I hope she wins something. Siap cerita, "Umaira tak kaler luar garisan Mummy..." Alahai...
(Darn, baru call rumah. semua pun tidur...)
And we will be maidless next week, and luckily, Daddy can take the whole week off (sebab cuti dia melimpah ruah) to take care of the kids. Meaning, no more maid headache drama for me, for at least a week, yay!! And as such, I got to be the bibik again. I don't mind coz I miss having the house to myself once more.
BTW, Ulfa sudah pandai main gunting untuk "barber" her hair ya. Bertuah sungguh. Patutlah Mummy tengok rambut dia makin layered. It looks good actually sebab she doesn't have that da*n straight hair like Umaira. Hers has soft curls at the end. So she kinda look chic (must take pictures!). What I'm worried is her playing with the gunting ofcourse. Mana dia dapat in the first place coz I always keep sharp things high and unreachable. And what is my maid doing all the while??? Sheeshhh...Selain jadi hairdresses diri sendiri, Ulfa turut mem-barber rambut Umar ya. Ada lah dua tiga "lubang" kat kepala. Aduuuuuhhh....On the bright side, it saves me from hair cut fees (yeah rite!).

My Very Own Ed Westwick

Sungguh bertuahnya dapat anak teruna yang rajin nak teman Mummy dia menonton her all-time fav drama series - Gossip Girl. Gitulah Umar malam tadi, teman Mummy tengok GG yang penuh dengan drama Chuck Bass jadi poyo. Sigh...I got abg (ehem adik) Bass depan mata, and mini Bass dalam dakapan. Heheee...
He tried so hard to keep up with me, little Umar I mean. Sampai ke satu tahap (11.20pm rasanya) he just couldnt open his little eyes. Bila dia suh gosok his back, he was standing up. Tak lama kemudian, Mummy yang terlalu asyik dengan abg/adik Bass itu tak sedar anak teruna dah terlentuk kat tangan. And he was still standing up. My poor baby...
So melepaslah little Bass nak tengok gelagat poyo Chak Best kat Quickie. Bagus pun, taknaklah dia terikut2 kepoyoannya itu...Haha!

Ayat power Umaira baru2 ini, when I called her from office just for a chat...
"Mummy, can I say goodbye now? Nak tengok CD..." Sabar je lah..!!

Happy Birthday Mummy...

Look at what my children got me...Love it!! And the one I got from my parents and sisters, it's SO ME!! Thank you for the lovely cards. Mwahs!!

Raya, Raya, Raya...

Menariknya raya tahun ni, we went back to Tganu, daddy's hometown pagi raya itself. Meaning, we had our raya in our own house for the first time ever. Which was interesting. Left home around 10.30am and reached umah tok at 4pm. Not bad huh? Tak perlu tempoh trafik jam yg ntah apa2 tu. phew!
Sampai2 terus beraya rumah maksu, ayah cik, mak teh and abg din. The kids memang sakanlah telan air soda oren sampai nak kena sorok! Especially Umar tu lah, selagi tak abis, minta tuang in his cup.
Raya kedua, sibuk with preparations for kak na's wedding (the kids' mak nik). The girls enjoyed helping out with the bunga telur while Umar played with his older cousins. Memang tak beraya mana, stayed at home saja.
Raya ketiga, the wedding day. Daddy sibuk kat dapur with his uncles and aunties, while we tolong what we can in the house. It was hot! But surprisingly the kids endured it all. Seronok tengok mak nik kena make up sama...
Raya keempat, still in Terengganu. Time to clean up the house. Petang skit we went to Atas Tol, rumah daddy's mak nik. Then to daddy's high school teacher's house (which smelt like the umah kucing hehehehe...)
Second last day in Serada baru dapat properly berjalan raya to cousin's open house, auntie's place etc. And sempatlah singgah our favourite mini market Nirwana to replenish susu and food.
Friday, off to Endau with 6 other cars. Convoy of the lilac ribbons as I like to call it. Coz I had to make ribbons to put on each car, as reference when driving nanti.
Here's a "sample" of the ugly ribbon I made, but that was my first try with just the tape, the rest i stapler-ed nicely. :)

At Endau, which we reached lepas 9 jam dalam kereta (pegh!), we didnt have a place to sleep mulanya sbb new BIL dgn "tak bijaknya" booked 5 chalet rooms for almost 40 of us! So we (my small family) decided to mengalah and went to a different hotel. Early Saturday morning, kami dah terpacak kat tepi pantai Endau and had to wait a wee bit sbb BIL family expected us at 11am and not 10am. Had breakfast (again, had hotel bfast earlier) then lepak at the beach. Took lovely pics, and paling best, the aunties also took photo shots di atas batu tepi pantai. Macam dolu dolu kala...
After "sending off" mak nik to her in-laws (the food was awesome!) we head back to KL, with less dirty laundry than expected (sbb tiap2 hari mummy mendobi tengah malam), rendang kering yg agak hangus (thanks mak teh), and memories half-filled with misteri nusantara...I am not even going to go there!
So here's a great AIDILFITRI to all of you. Mwahs!!

Mambo Italiano ala Umaira

(L-R) the itenary; Umaira and her girlfriends; Umaira enter-frames Alia Alissa & partner's pic hehe; Umaira n her Teacher Cynthia.
Umaira had her annual Krista concert at Sri KDU last Saturday (Oct 3, on Daddy's birthday!). I took (tok) Mama, Ulfa, Umar and our new maid (diff story) there. Daddy came a bit later coz he was working, but he managed to stop by for Umaira's performance, after covering PM's assignment in Sg Buloh (the air show).
How was Umaira? SHE WAS SO GOOD! I didnt know she was going to be at the centre of the performance. She was always secretive about her dance moves and only showed us the steps ONCE at home. Even Cynthia (her class teacher) praised Umaira, and said she's a really good dancer. Yey! I can't believe my eldest has reached another milestone - my very own little dancer. :) Mummy is so proud of you Mayya...

Girls' Night Out!

Studying her spelling; mirror mirror on the wall; her cheesy food!; I dont know why she's making faces hehehee...

Mummy trying to cheer herself up; Me and my eldest.

Masa untuk pecahkan gunung!; Yummers!; Pretty ladies...

Umaira drew a lot of things to cheer Mummy up. Thank you love!

What a day!! But I'm not going into details bout my drama at home. But because of it, Umaira and I get to spend quality time, just the two of us. I took her to Chili's OU, our favourite hang out anyways. She had her usual kid's meal and I tried the sandwich. Then the ultimate dish for the night was the molten chocolate cake with ice cream! Yummers!!

And here's Umaira at the concourse, what lovely kampung set-up they have. Way better than the one at The Curve. This one looks more authentic. But the bahulu seller there is a rip-off! We bought one big bekas of bahulu and the pics on it showed, got choc rice in it. But tengok dari the kuih macam tak de, so I asked the girl (foreigner) to double check. She said ada. But later, the kids tried it bahulu kosong rupanya! So me being ME, went back to her gerai and confronted her. She was like, "Oh, Saya tak tahu apa2, saya tolong jual saja..." What lar? You jual also must know maaaa... Memang I gave se-zasss, and blah. Hmmm..gitulah...
(note: this entry is also out-dated. But whatever, I am here to show (-off) pictures) Hehe...

Cookie-Lala

That's what I always use when "calling" my kids. Busynya this past week, I'd rather not talk about it. I'd rather show you pictures of the darlings. Enjoy!
(note: this entry was done AGES ago, but stayed in the Draft for folder till today. forgive me ya....)

Ultra Cute-ness

This is my second daughter, Khadeja Ulfa, who was born on May 1st, 2006; 1010pm. Yes, she's our Labour Day baby and she was born 3.78kg! I remembered Dr Idris (gynae to all my children, and my youngest sister, ehem) said, "Oh, baby besar..." during labour. Imagine! I thought something was wrong ke apa, panik kejap. Rupa2nya my little girl lahir bam bam, macam budak dah sebulan kat dunia. After about 3 pushes, keluar kenit muka daddy (jugak). Hehe...Now that she's three, you can distinguishly tell that she's different than her sister Umaira. She's our manja girl, and despite dah ada adik, still macam baby. She can wink with both eyes, and can give you melting smiles. She learns spelling from Umaira. She speaks fluently by two. When she's upset, she will make your heart robek with her "broken" face. But when she shows tantrum, you can't help getting angry but afterwards peluk gomoi dia. She is daddy's girl. Her daddy kisses her most (selain Mummy ofcourse hehe). She loves giving you kisses. Her "gig" whenever I leave home to work is: "Mummy salam. (salam). Mummy kiss (kisses her on the lips). Mummy peluk. (hugs her tightly)." This must-do-or-you-can't-leave-home-without-seeing-her-mengamuk routine is one of the highlights of the day. Without it, memang akan rasa lebih rindu and tak keruan.

I can't wait to go home to my darlings...

Pesan Anakanda...

Today, we got one great news. We can go home at 5.30pm for Ramadhan. Yeyyy!! This is my 3rd Ramadhan with this company and FINALLY, we are given kelonggaran. Bagussss....Starting tomorrow, can go back early and prepare nicely for iftar. I like!
Tetapi today juga, I wont be able to iftar at home. Mummy's got event in Tarbush, Sunway Pyramid with the cover girls. And Mummy is also the emcee with Aunty Nana. Cold feet, cold fingers you name it, Mummy's got it. Yes dearies, Mummy is not superwoman or bionic..Hehehee..
So this morning, the girls said: "Mummy jangan balik siang, balik malam okay..." Adakah ia satu perlian atau dorongan? You tell me....

School Holiday in Ramadhan!

It's here! The school holiday, which means Umaira get to spend more time with her baby sister and brother. She's still talking about meeting up with her school mates - Alia Alissa and Nadrah (hope Aunty got your name spelt right). But I know she loves "wrestling" with Umar or dancing infront of the telly with Ulfa.
At this moment, Daddy is home taking care of them. After the maid commotion last weekend, we are better off without one. I have never met the laziest most ngelat maid in my life, and believe me, I grew up with maids, so does my children. But the one sent for us memang nightmare for 4 days. We sent her back last night.
So here we are, maidless again, but happier. Ofcourse, we have tomorrow to think about. Poor dearies, I wish Mummy is a superwoman who can work and take care of you guys...
Tonight, taking them to Chili's for their ultimate favourite cheese pizza and mac and cheese. More cheese? Bring it on!

Wishes from Umaira, Ulfa, Umar...

Happy Ramadhan everyone!
Love,
Mummy and the kids!

Road Trip - Pasir Putih, KTganu and Awana Kijal

1. Umar ready to go to masjid. 2. Umaira in her fav baju kurung. 3. Ulfa who now hates being photographed, getting cranky. 4. Kids with mummy.

A lot has happened lately, what with maid suddenly took off, and it was the week when we're supposed to go back to Tganu for my SIL's nikah (14 Aug 2009, two days after Umar turned two). But I am very proud (cewah!) to say, me and hubby survived the 4D3N trip on our own. Luckily the kids behaved well during the NINE hours ride to Pasir Putih. We were out of the house by 7.30am and reached Kak Mah's house at 4.30pm. Ofcourse we stopped three times for makan2 and toilet breaks (What with Ulfa toilet trained, memang nak kencing sokmo!).
Anyways, the tahlil and nikah went well. The kids had a hard time adjusting to the hot weather though. Ulfa was quite cranky, Umar was okay because his abang sepupu knows what he likes best - Cats to torture! Haha..And Umaira had so much fun with her cousins (especially the boys), now she can't wait to go back for Raya. I thought I lost weight taking care of three kids on the road, but no way. The food was too good to tolak. Even the kids loved the kenduri food, makan bertambah2...
After the nikah, we went back to Tganu, rumah arwah Mak, where my SIL now lives. First time kami dapat the biggest room in the whole house - the living room. Hehehe...Our usual room was "occupied" by Li's stuff, too messy and (me) lazy to kemas. Mind you, we arrived at 9.30pm. Nak suh Mummy pegang penyapu malam2? I don't think so...
The next day, we woke up early (except Umar was still sleeping on his tummy when we all had breakfast kat serambi). Plans for the day - Pasar Payang, lunch with bureau chief BH, then to Awana Kijal. Before that, the kids had so much fun meronda Serada on Ayah Long's new motorbike berbakul itu. Memang buat perangai budak bandar masuk kampung. Nasib baik, Daddy pandai bawak, so off they went to a nearby shop.

5. Ronda-ronda Serada je... 6. Sepah skit rumah Mak Nik, hehe...

After Pasar Payang and lunch "date" with Daddy's friend, we stopped to Mummy's tpt-wajib-dikunjungi (tapi lupa sat) - Noor Arfa (Didnt buy anything, damn expensive lah!). Ulfa who I mentioned earlier didnt want to be photographed tunjuk skill jadi fotografer plak dah. Hasilnya...
Not too bad, huh?

A night in Awana Kijal, memang fantabulous!! The kids enjoyed the pool, especially Umar who wasnt a bit scared padahal air dah paras dada. The room was very comfy, two queen beds and we took in a cot. Dont want to risk Umar falling off the bed now, do we?

7. It's raining! 8. Daddy and his kids. 9. Lovely! 10. The girls at the beach. 11. Kaki dompot Umar

What a life... :)
