I became a mother for the first time today eight years ago. It's such a precious milestone for me and ofcourse my husband who also became a father. We love you Umaira!

And because today is the first day of school, we celebrated her birthday semalam (Happy belated birthday Arman!). Dan Alhamdulillah sebab Daddy ada rezeki lebih so we had a birthday party at McDonald's. She invited her close school friends and I ajak my cousins and kids.

Senanglah buat kat McD ni sebab takyah pening2 nak pikir party packs, games and food. Siap ongkos saja. Tips from me - buat time McValue lunch or dinner (tak sure plak if they have parties done at night) sebab time tu, sets are cheaper by almost two ringgit. Jimat banyak woh! (ambil kira tax and service charges ya). You just datang about 15 minutes before party time just to ensure the tables are ready, food pun dah ada and put the cake aside etc... tunggu je lah sambut tetamu.

Usually for kids, depa bagi a room for them, so parents ada reserved table just outside the door. And there's also a playroom for them kot nak pegi melalak berlari keliling mini playground tu. Layankan je lah... And meals for kids you have variety to choose from. We ordered the chicken burger for kids with fries and Coke (u can opt for Milo too, or do this - order 5 medium size Milo and serve them in smaller cups. Jimat!). The funny thing is their chicken burger is cheaper than ordering nuggets. So weird! And baru dalam menu, kalau taknak fries, you can opt for fruit pudding for an additional cost. And toys dalam Happy Meal bergantung kepada promo that month, we got SpongeBob Squarepants, memang bagus sebab it's unisex. Last month Umaira attended her schoolmate's bday party kat situ, it was some girly girl toy. Umar ngamuk nak boy toy. So Spongebob ni kira semua pun boleh terima la kan...

And makacih lah friends, aunties and uncles for the wonderful gifts for her. Ari tu dia hilang her favourite bag kat hotel in PD, where we went for a quick holiday. Muncung mulut sebab hotel tak berjaya locate balik her bag. Semalam dapat tiga Strawberry Shortcake bags, hamik ko. She was smiling ear to ear. Satu memang dia bawak to school, satu lagi dah plan nak bawak for her school trip this weekend. Tapi paling Mummy suspens, dia dapat a diary with locks. She's gonna start keeping secrets from us! Ke bagus sebenarnya ada jurnal ni so that she can write apa saja? I still keep my diary from zaman uni, sorok dari suami (opps!). Hehehehe... Tapi kalau dapat baca balik memang kelakar. There are things in there yang I myself forget, termasuk times with Arwah Lan. So in that sense, it's great keeping memories written and kept. So hopefully Umaira pun akan pandailah simpan great memories with us. :)

It's Daddy's birthday today! We celebrated early coz Monday keje n school day. Malam sure xnk skip mengaji. So buat awal n leh lepak with tok mama n baba skali.

Simple celebration. Kids gave Daddy a card, we had cake (red velvet yg I picked coz I've been craving it since lama, sebbaik Daddy tak hantu kek n wasnt picky).

Next year we r celebrating at home. Kurang best potong2 kek dkt resto yg padat manusia. But thank u mama papa for the lovely dinner. I heaaaarrrttt wadihana's carbonara!!

Three cheers to Angry Birds! The kids went "crazy" like happy crazy during the party. It was so much fun. They made kids' pizza, then salad and got to decorate their cuppies. The highlight is ofcourse the oh-so-nice Angry Birds birthday cake yang sangat sangat cantik. Adina, hope you like the Angry Birds presents ya... Happy turning five!

I know, I am the gediks kind. Semua benda nak buat together2. So yesterday came, where the contractor nak kena pasang our new grille. Sepatutnya nak "tonton" sesama dgn hubby, dah dia takde, takleh gak go alone. So angkutlah my parents and the kids, macam rombongan sarkis. Hehe...
(contractor kata dia dah ushar the whole area, so far belum ada orang buat design ni. Heh? Alah, bukan kena design pun. Hehehe,...)


Ni suma dibuat sebagai persiapan majlis pertunangan cum house warming my darling sister, real soon. Senang buat kat rumah kosong, leh tepek apa yang patut. Cuma suma jenis duduk di lantai je lah yaaaa... Tak sempat kot nak godek perabut sekalik. And also, untuk birthday Ulfa lah jugak, dah alang2 esoknya is her birthday. It will be a great gathering with family and friends.

This was the belated birthday celebration for Aunty Malyn who turned 6 years younger than me. Hahahaha! Tetap la kan. We went to Yati's Ayam Percik in Bangi. I think Bangi, though I dont live there, sangat happening in terms of food. Ada banyak pilihan, sedap tak sedap je la kan. But Yati's is one of my personal fav, sebab ayam percik dia sodap, you must also try the daging bakar cicah ngn sos cili lazat. I always pair this with nasi putih, but I see my siblings taking nasi kerabu. Must be good. Sorry, no food pics. Lapar sangat kan, food sampai terus bedal macam ke hapa!

This may basically be Ulfa merajuk sebab takleh duduk sebelah the cuppies. And Umar and Umaira show how much they absolutely cant wait and heart the cakes. Ada makna tu... Apa taknya, bila sampai rumah Baba, bukan main depa membedal kek tu, kalah birthday girl!

Kalau tak sempat nak order cuppies from any of your fav baker, but you feel like you need these to complete kan your family gathering, just walk in at Wondermilk in Damansara Uptown (dokek ngn my opis, tu sebabnya). Ingatkan Sabtu susahlah nak dapat cuppies, tapi tengok berkotak2 ada kat situ, and many2 designs. So I bought the box above, nampak macam mak order plak kan kan kan? Padahal, hado!

Bila dah dapat peluang to terrorize Baba's place, lihatlah aksi gediks budak yabam ni. He's just so happy to be running here and there, it shows that we, the Ajis Ngah clan, need to find a way to move to our new house soon. Bila depa nak buka sekolah kat situ weiiii???

Dah nama pun blog for the kids, so inilah updatenya untuk besday Umaira yang lalu. Actually, we went to cousin Daddy's wedding in Perak during her birthday. Kebetulan hari yang sama. And nasib baik anak sulung bukan jenis diva nak celebrate birthday hari tu jugak, walaupun sebenarnya Mummy yang rasa kesian kat anak sebab takde proper birthday singing session and cake when she turned seven. Mama papa rajin celebrate my birthday masa kecik2 dulu, so memang dah jadi tabiat dalam keluarga. Asal birthday jek mesti nak ada kek.

And actually, nyaris tak terbuat birthday party ni yang direncanakan sebab satu, none of Umaira's classmates to whom she sent the invite to RSVP-ed, and dua masa kitorang balik dari Perak tu tengok dapur banjir. Air from tangki overflowed bagai nak rak. Masa tu plak bibik pi Cheras, so memang takde orang kat rumah nak tengokkan. Dah satu keje nak ngemas, and Daddy kena panjat bumbung malam2 betulkan the pelampung. Haihh... Tapi sebab ada sorang kawan dia bagitau nak datang, kami pun sediakan secara ala kadar, and I texted my friends. Sesiapa yang ada kesempatan silalah datang. So Zura and family came too.

It was not a big birthday party but it was good enough for us, though tak leh blah lah rasa kechiwa di hati ini. Sob! I promise a better party for you ya Umaira. Mwahs!


So here are the attendees. Tiga memang penduduk tetap rumah kecik tu and Alyssa, kawan baik Umaira since kindy. Though she wasnt well, but she braved thru the party sambil layan kegedikan aunty Nida hehehehehe... Good girl lah you! And I absolutely LOVE this picture sebab everyone look so yomey yomey.

Here's the cake. Asalnya nak buat kek Angelina Ballerina, tapi nak buat tempahan yang sebenar memakan harga yang agak terlampau. So terpaksalah buat kek gini kat Berry's. Takpelah, takde Umaira nak complain "Napa beli kek murahan?" If she did, memang Mummy bagi makan meja jek kang.

Atas permintaan ramai, buatlah games serba skit. Yang ni dipanggil Pass The Rubber Band With The Straw (macam lagu omputih plak). I learnt this thru own experience masa dok rajin pi besday party kecik2 dulu. Rajin woooh pi besday parties. Jenis mak pak tak join punya, just us kids. It was super fun. Dulu pernah main game ni dipaksa duduk dengan this guy yang katanya minat bebenor ngn Mummy masa tu (dalam tingkatan gitu lah). So masa nak passing getah tu memang dok tersipu-sipu macam siput lah masing2 kan. Lagi plak kena sorak ngn kengkawan, siut jek. Haiiih...Kelako!

Aktiviti seterusnya, sebaik saja ketibaan Fiona Zara semua nak main painting painting plak dah. Layankan jek, sebab bahan pun ada. Atleast depa tak main kejar2 dalam rumah sempit tu. Ada jugak yang lari masuk bilik air jugak. Hehehehe...

Sebab ada sorang leh gantikan Mummy's place, so mainlah semula passing getah ni. Sungguh cute melihatkan aksi Fiona passing getah kat Umar yabam. Dan actually, we played another game which was the Statue Dance game menggunakan lagu Baby by Bieber sahaja (pasang lagu lain kena marah dowh). Tapi gambar2nya terlalu terlampau untuk ditayang di sini. Bukan budak2 yang terlampau, tapi Mummy yang kena jadi player yang terlampau wahahahahaha...

One of her favourite birthday gifts was from Daddy. Beli beg sekolah Barbie (sebut betul2) kat dia. Bukan main suka lagi and tak pasal2 tersudi cium muka Daddy yang cantik tu hehehehe...Selalunya sorry ya. I gave her books, as requested (lupa plak nak load kat sini). And we also thank Alyssa and Fiona and Thalia (Zura and Farief) for the lovely2 presents too. Also to tok mama and baba, aunty malyn too for the gifts. :)

Main belasah jek kiraan di atas ni. It's the countdown to Irmy Umaira's seventh birthday. And baru last night Daddy cakap we can do her birthday on 20th. Nggh!! Bunyinya macam tak jadi buat coz we have to attend his cousin's wedding in Perak on Umaira's birthday. So I thought, just a cake with us at home, dah memadai. Dia nak buat birthday party plak dah!! Breath in, breath out.

And... He wants to do it at home. Aduh!! My one and always will be dilemma is the fact that our house is tiny, and parking pun agak mencabar. Kalau dah sebuah rumah ada minimum dua kereta kat neighbourhood tu, memang confirm one car tempek kat luar rumah. Itu our house, we have neighbours who has more than two cars! So memang agak crowded lorong rumah tu, then where lah the guests nak park kan. Kalau kereta leh lipat masuk kocek sedap la kan.

So, the only logical solution will be, tak invite ramai orang. Maybe just Umaira's classmates (she has named 8 of them) and a few of our selected and closest friends. Need to find cake, good spread of food and goodies. And take leave ofcourse. Tak gemar buat party on Sundays ni sebab Isnin kerja. Agak sangap gitu, sebab saya jenis rumah mesti super kemas macam selalu (kemas lah sangat!), macam takde apa2 berlaku right after the party. Daddy takpelah buat makan2 Sunday, sah sah dia tak keje Isnin. Blah la lu!

Oh-key. Now to google Angelina Ballerina. Whatever that is!! Agak ketinggalan gitu...!!!

Takde rules kan kata takleh update blog every 5 minutes? Hahaha... Adinda kecik (yg tinggi itu) baru load bday pics kat FB. I so love the cakes, especially cakes yang too pretty to be eaten. Especially when my sisters enticed me to come to the bday high-tea dengan ayat jahat "We got LVs for you..." Siut betul, dah nyaris kembang semangkuk punggung ngn dada rupa2nya atas cuppies?? Chisss...

Silalah ignore the mouse pad kat belakang tu ek, enter-frame plak! Ni kad from my children. Sempat lagi paw tok mama and baba when they were in Cheras. But it made Mummy smile super senget. Suka suka!! And dalam banyak2 kad (ada dua jek pun), hat ni lah pi memandai letak umur Mummy, mesti Aunty Malyn punya keje!!!!!!

And I wrote this to my friends...

"Oh sesuatu yang aku rasa kiut. Ajis ngah datang jumpa kitorang (me n family, my sisters buat celebration kat delicious for me and mom) kat BV2 sabtu malam tu. Dia bawak this huge jambangan bunga ros. Memang besar yang scary punya. Tapi dia dok malu2 nak bagi kat aku. Jenis malu yang aku rasa nak tampar sebab gila gedik dia buat malu2 kucing. Bayangkan pak misai gitu buat malu2, OMG sungguh gediks!! Rupa2nya dia malu nak bagi sebab bagi dia jambangan tu tak cantik. Pagi sebelum pi Umno dia pi Floristika kat sebelah his opis tempah the flowers. Kata nak amik before 8pm. Belakang, when he went back depa tak buat, bole? So staff kat situ dah malu alah, staff bangla mana ntah yang tolong buatkan. Expert buat susunan bunga tu dah balik rupanya. Bila aku tengok balik memang “tak sempurna” lah sebab takde kapas air pun kat batang bunga tu. Tapi the whole thing I tot was cute hehehehe…"

s.e.n.y.u.m!

After writing yesterday's post, I was like, everything's too good to be true! Tapi Alhamdulillah, syukur sesangat coz my birthday was pleasant.
Petang semalam, me and hubby were still talking about Japan. Tak semena-mena Mummy keluarkan the dark blue long-sleeve dress bought in Uniqlo Singapore, during our recent trip. Memang it was supposed to be the best sample/reference for Daddy when he goes to the store of origin in Tokyo. Belakang, I sudah perasan something out of real ordinary on the dress. IT HAS SETERIKA MARK!!!! Like a 20 sen size hole kat depan-bawah. Memang terkedu habis.
1. Saya baru pakai baju tu SEKALI SAJA!
2. Baju tu material t-shirt tebal, KENAPA PERLU DIGOSOK in the first place?????
Oh Bibik....
So yes, Mummy meraung for the next half hour. I wasn't angry or super-pissed like my usual self, but I was just frustrated and sad. Tak tau nak cerita macam mana, tapi sedih ya rabb. Macam mati kucing. I cried all the way to dinner, untill Daddy kata he will ban our maid from ironing any of our clothes. And after I said, her gaji perlu dipotong. Kejam kah? I don't think so, sebab saya tak pernah potong gaji any of our maids (former) walaupun acapkali buat keje macam bodoh, macam kita tak pernah ajar. So there's always a first time kan?
I pernah tegur Bibik sebab tak ikut my way of doing things, like hello, tu rumah aku, kena ikut my rules lah. And dia melawan dengan alasan yang memang takleh diterima. Bila I said, no, she has to follow what I said, dia merajuk. Cakap, "Puan tak pernah tahu perasaan kena marah." Like helloooooooooo... Ko ingat aku makan gaji aku tak pernah kena marah kat pejabat ker?? Ko ingat aku masuk pejabat duduk nganga berilek2 ker?? Itulah maid zaman sekarang, nak kena layan bebaik sebab dia tolong jaga rumah and anak2 kita. Tapi bila ditegur, tak leh terima. Macam kita saja nak sakitkan ati dia. Padahal, kalau everything is fine, memang I will keep quiet jek. Takkan cakap apa2, sebab takde benda nak dicakap, sebab semuanya okay. Sekali sekala ditegur, dah nak meradang. How lar????
So yes, my birthday started all so fine, ended in complete disaster. Sekian.

I am having a great weekend. Yes, my birthday is the whole weekend sebab semalam (Sabtu), aunty Malyn and asu Nano arranged a birthday hi-tea at Delicious Bangsar Village II with Mama and Papa. Daddy tak dapat join sebab tak abis2 lagi perhimpunan agung u*no ittew. Thank you for the oh-so-lovely cuppies by SugarRush. Patutlah kata ada LV, got sugar replica of the bags rupanya. Haha!! If it were the real thing, memang nak kena pelangkong. I want the MBMJ Hobo bag jek hehehehe...
Malam tadi budak2 eksport ke Cheras, dah lama depa tak pi sana pun. So Mummy Daddy leh lah qada' apa yang patut, ahaks! Berangan lah nak pi rendek mana2 tengah malam kan. Tapi by 1am dah krohkroh, hampehs.
But we woke up early, to a lovely lovely rainy morning. Went for breakfast with Neight, Roy and Idris Rumi (he's a boy, he's a boy!). Tenchu for the lovely roti canai cecah kuah sardin, sodappppp!!! Minta Daddy bawak lepak Pavilion or Sunway, sudahnya ke OU jugak. Haihh... Tak bosan2 ngn OU tu, layan je lah. I bought myself some lovely stuff and books, suka suki!
I think later today, nak ajak Daddy berHokano, in preparation to his trip to Tokyo. Saya sudah sediakan list Uniqlo mesti beli, walaupun its first store akan dibuka di sini Nov 4 ini. Donch care, nak jugak. Itu sebabnya best bfast ngn Neight n Roy, they have family kat sana, so sudah berArigato lah tadi.
What have I learned today? Urm... I am quite surprised that I am getting less demanding at birthdays. Dah tua pun, tak kuasa nak merajuk gedik. Layan perasaan kaluuu, memang akan ruin sendiri punya ari tua. So udah2lah tu. I used to tell friends if u want to get things on ur birthday, kena terus terang kat spouse and "demand" for it. But this year, I have to add on - YOU urself must learn to make it a lovely day. Gift or no gift, u can still be happy. Nak jugak besday present kalau, belilah utk diri sendiri. Tetap puas hati...
So yes, here's to a great 33 years!! :))

It's Thursday! And according to the ticker kat sebelah, Umar is officially three years old today. But there will be no celebration sebab satu, Daddy is working late. Dua, it's fasting month, Tiga, we already had the cake cutting last weekend. So kira kaw tim lah tu.
Tersentap kejap bila Umaira cakap "Umar dapat satu birthday present je, dari aunty Malyn." Erks! Need to explain to her, it's not the number of presents that count. But kids, what do they know. Mummy umur tu pun asyik tuding jari minta itu ini as birthday present kan. I am lucky coz my parents bought me a lot of things that I like, and now kira lucky coz my kids bukan jenis suka mintak barang. Hehehe... But for Umar, and as a treat to the girls as well, I will take them to the book store lah. Can't say no to books. :)
So yes, Happy Birthday beloved Son. Sekejap je dah tiga tahun. Kalau ikut time ni (3.20pm), lagi dua jam three years ago sudah keluar lah itu boboy, 3.3kg. Now dah nyaris 18kg kot! Haihh..bertuah...

But before we talk about that, what happened during the weekend. It was super-packed, that's for sure. Even on Friday evening, Mummy was running around picking up the cake, buying more goodies for the party pack, getting paper plates and plastic fork. And before bed, I was packing for Saturday's event, which was:
1. Daddy's World Cup Berita Harian event 8am till 2pm.
2. Tok Baba's and Tok Mama's family gathering cum tahlil cum doa selamat cum birthday celebration for Umar.
And after all that, we couldn't overnight at Baba's coz we had Aunty Nana's brunch/potluck Bendits gathering on Sunday morning. Nasib baik Mummy tak janji nak bawak a full meal, just fried chicken. And thank god for Bibik kalau tak memang Mummy senget!!

Umaira joined the colouring competition during the BH World Cup event.

Umar pun tried, but he enjoyed mematahkan mata pensel even more!

Umar memang hebat main bola! Sampai ada uncles suruh dia main for their team. Natural born sportsman lah.

That night, we celebrated Umar's birthday with my cousins (yes, those little ones are my cousins ya). He's turning three this Thursday!

Umaira and Sophie quickly became besties during brunch at Aunty Nana's house on Sunday. Sexy girl that Sophie, and look at the pose - to die for kan?? Umaira looks very pretty here. Love you daughter!

Umar got a galactic toy gun for his birthday, from Aunty Malyn. Then he found Buzz Lightyear (loaned by abang Arman), what a perfect match!

Yes, yesterday was my youngest sister's 22nd birthday. Tetiba teringat, can you believe my mom and I shared the same gynae?? Hehe...So my kids and Nano share the same doctor.
N'ways, yes, we celebrated adik's birthday at Chili's. Despite the oh-so-scary-and-super-rain in the evening, we managed to meet up at OU around 9.30pm. And thanks to the manager of the night, James (you're so cute!), we got the long table he insisted on getting us. Padahal kitorang tak kisah pun duduk berhimpit kat kusyen seat, sebab dia taknak duduk tak comfy. Maybe he had a good look at Umar and Papa, hehe!
Enjoyed the dinner through and through, apatah lagi dapat yamam my favourite combo Nachos. Yums! And terkezut tengok Umar makan punya berselera. Lepas MacNChees, two slices of pizza, cilok Daddy's mashed potato, he had the above - chocolate molten cake with icecream. And balik rumah dua botol susu before tidur. I think he is already and easily 18kg! And he's not even three years old youuuuuu....
So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY darling sister. Hope you had a wonderful birthday... Mwahs!

My darling Khadeja Ulfa is four! Yeay! Thanks to Daddy for making it extra special for us. Thanks to miracookiss for the beautiful birthday cake (miracookiss.blogspot.com). I ordered the Red Velvet flavour, highly recommended for those with sweet tooth, Umar loved it! We cut the cake at Beranang, finally the kids get a chance to celebrate with their Terengganu cousins. And kebetulan plak, birthday Mak De is coming soon, it was a double celebration for both girls. This year, we got Ulfa a dinosaur jigsaw puzzle which she loves. Tak sangka anak mummy ni suka main puzzle. Boleh enhance skill mengingat, menyusun and takdelah nak kacau sangat kan hehehehe....
So Happy Birithday darling. Hope you enjoyed your day and mummy's sorry sebab tak dapat buat birthday party. Yang penting is us being together. Mwahs!!

Elo...we're at Eastin tonight. Saja lepak with mama papa, the kids miss them a lot! To date, we just had two birthday cakes, one is an unofficial RM11 chocolate sponge cake I bought for the kids (umar) to cut (umar cincang, darn i forgot pics!) together. The second is Malyn's. Umaira picked it for her. A pink (duh) and white butter icing butter cake they cut together at Eastin after dinner. Umar (almost) got to cincang it.
And tomorrow, will be the official tok baba's 60th birthday cake cutting. We ordered a Toyota Camry chocolate cake from www.vanillapod.blogspot.com. Kak Irma tolong deliver depan rumah lagik. Thank you! I love the look of the cake, all so clean and smart! It is now being kept by room service of the hotel. I dont want the kids to godek the cake in the room. I hope they will keep it nicely for us. The celebration tomorrow will be at a bowling centre in Shah Alam. Yet to find out where the exact place is. Bukan reti sangat area Shah Alam ni.
